Admission
All applicants must meet the general University
requirements, which are listed in the Undergraduate
Catalog. A strong science background is recommended for students
interested in the animal science program. Most transfer students
enter the program at the sophomore or junior level, allowing them
to specialize in animal science programs immediately. Students who
plan to transfer from community colleges or other institutions are
advised to complete the courses required in the first two years
of the UT Knoxville program before transferring. An advisor at the
community college or UT Knoxville can provide students with a list
of all required or recommended courses.
