Youth Pork Quality Assurance

The Youth Pork Quality Assurance program was launched on Febuary
1, 2004. This new certification program will allow youth ages 9-18
to participate in a nationwide program that emphasizes producing
safe, wholesome and nutritious pork for consumers.
All 4-Her's participating in the 4-H Market
Hog Show are required to be certified at level III of the Youth
Pork Quality Assurance Program (PQA). Exhibitors must only pass
the Youth PQA Program once to participate in show activities
A single hard copy of the Youth PQA Manual will be provided to
each county with active 4-H Swine Project exhibitors. Below is a
PowerPoint presentation to assist Youth PQA educators with teaching
young pork producers on the 10 Good Production Practices.
