Tennessee Sheep Producers to Host Sale/Judging Contest

The annual Tennessee Sheep Producers Association Sale will be held on Saturday, April 19, at the Ward Ag Center (Wilson County Fairgrounds) in Lebanon. The sale will offer some excellent market lamb and breeding ewe prospects. The sale will start at 1:00 p.m. CDT.

There will be a sheep judging contest starting at 9:00 a.m. The contest is open to all youth. Counties may enter a team(s) or members may judge as individuals. Awards totaling $1500 will be presented as gift certificates to be used at the sale. Contestants will judge five classes of ewes and lambs and one class of fleeces. This will be excellent training for your 4-H livestock judging teams.
