Accelerated Genetics' Collegiate Scholarship Program

Eligibility: For individuals who have completed their freshman, sophomore or junior year and are majoring in dairy, beef or an agricultural related area. The applicant or their parents must be currently purchasing semen or products from an authorized Accelerated Genetics representative.

CASNR Returning Student Scholarship

Eligibility: Graduate and undergraduate students must reapply each year in order to receive scholarships. Students do not automatically get scholarships renewed. Recipients of the 4-year McClanahan Scholarship must update their records with the Scholarship Committee by completing the returning student form.

Certified Angus Beef LLC
Colvin Scholarship Fund For Tomorrow's Leaders

Eligibility: 1. Demonstrated commitment to the beef industry through pursuit of a meat science, food science, animal science, marketing, business, communications, journalism, or other degree related to the beef industry through activities or curriculum. 2. Available only to students who are junior or senior-level status for the Fall 2003 academic year, at a four-year institution. 3. Must submit a double-spaced, typed essay of no more than 1,000 words on the following topic: What challenges do you see facing the beef industry in delivering a desirable eating experience 90-100 percent of the time? What are your solutions? Certified Angus Beef LLC reserves the right to publish all or parts of all essays submitted. Please enclose a photo of yourself to be used for publicity purposes. 4. Two recommendation letters from individuals other than family members, who are knowledgeable of your integrity, dependability, motivation, and leadership potential. 5. A copy of your complete transcripts must be included with your application form. 6. All scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient for tuition, fees, books, room and board, or other direct college expenses. 7. Certified Angus Beef LLC employees’ family members are not eligible to apply.

Flanagan Special Events Scholarship

Eligibility: The scholarship award will be available to a rising junior or senior who is currently enrolled full-time at UT or has been admitted to the university. The recipient must be interested in a career in special events, have a demonstrated ability in this area, and maintain a 2.7 grade point average. As part of the selection process, qualified candidates will participate in an interview with the selection committee.

Fort Dodge Animal Health Legacy Scholarship Program

The National Cattlemen’s Foundation and Fort Dodge Animal Health are proud to announce a new scholarship initiative – the Fort Dodge Animal Health Legacy Scholarship Program. Through producer participation, Fort
Dodge Animal Health is sponsoring five scholarships of $5,000 each. Three scholarships will be directed to veterinary school students who have designated an emphasis in bovine practice. Two scholarships will be directed to undergraduate students at the junior/senior level enrolled in an animal science program with an emphasis in bovine production.

Eligibility: Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen.Applicant must be undergraduate junior or senior enrolled at a two-or four-year institution of higher learning for the 2008-09 academic year. Applicant must have demonstrated a commitment to a career in the beef industry through classes, internships or life experience.

National Cattlemen's Foundation Beef Industry Scholarship

Eligibility: Applicants must be a graduating high school senior or full-time undergraduate student enrolled at a two or four-year institution for the 2006-07 school year. Applicants must have demonstrated a commitment to a career in the beef industry through classes, internships or life experiences. Previous scholarship winners are eligible to apply in subsequent years. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the beef industry, through educational pursuits or life experience.  Applicants do not need to be members of NCBA or its affiliates. Any graduating high school senior or full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a two-college or four-year university is eligible to apply.  This scholarship is not applicable for graduate studies or students attending schools of veterinary medicine.

Robert H. Rumler MBA Scholarship Program

Eligibility: 1. Applicants must have graduated from an accredited agricultural college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy Production or its equivalent. 2. The applicant should have ranked in the upper one-third of the agricultural graduates of the college or university granting the applicant’s B.S. Degree. Any exception must be explained and acceptable to the selection committee. 3. Significant extracurricular activities as an undergraduate will receive consideration. 4. While not an unqualified requirement, heavy preference will be given to applicants having had several years of work experience following receipt of a Bachelor’s Degree. Evaluation of leadership qualities, management aptitude, executive intuition and personal traits evidenced during this period will weigh heavily in the selection process. 5. Previous applicants may reapply, providing eligibility requirements are met. A previous recipient will be eligible for only one additional scholarship to complete degree requirements.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Undergraduate Scholarships and Graduate Fellowships

Applications for the new Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships for fall of 2004 are now available. Applications as well as all other relevant information about the two programs are available on the DHS website at the following URL:
http://www.orau.gov/dhsed/.

In their second year of existence, the two programs offered a total of 100 scholarships and fellowships for academic year 2003.

Deadline: Applications for both Undergraduate Scholarships and Graduate Fellowships are due (postmarked) by February 19. Follow-up materials, which are different for each program, are due by March 4.
