EXTENSION INITIATIVES
A comprehensive web site (SoutheastDairyExtension.org)
for information on dairy production has been launched and will be
maintained by the dairy extension program at UT. This web site contains
original content written by UT faculty and staff as well as links
to other important web sites containing timely information. Over
1,000 links and growing! One special link gets you to the ENR$
sire selection tool. You can easily "Suggest Links" and
give us feedback.
UT dairy extension has several ongoing initiatives in the areas
of nutrient management, milk quality, contract heifer rearing, crossbreeding
and intensive rotational grazing. These potential initiatives are
in addition to ongoing programs focused on basic management practices
and traditional youth development activities.
