Dr. Prado has a joint appointment in CVM Large
Animal Clinical Sciences and Animal Science, and will be conducting
research in Dr. Steve Oliver's laboratory
working on issues related to mastitis and pre-harvest food
safety research. Maria earned the DVM in University of Zulia
in Venezuela, and the PhD at Oklahoma State U. She then practiced
veterinary medicine in a private clinic near Stillwater Oklahoma
before returning to OSU as a postdoctoral fellow working in
molecular virology under an NIH grant. She remained in that
position until coming to UT in January 05. She is board certified
in Large Animal Internal Medicine and will be teaching the
AS 380 Animal Health Management
course as a part of her instructional responsibilities. |
