Course Overview
Integration and application of basic nutrition, health, genetic, and reproductive principles to maximize dairy cow health and productivity. Insights into current dairy related issues.
Completion of animal science sophomore and junior core courses or consent of instructor. If you have not had AS 320 (repro & lactation), AS 330 (nutrition), and AS380 (animal health) this class will be difficult because we build upon principles learned in those classes. When we cover those sections it may be necessary for you to put in extra effort to understand the material being covered. If you do need extra help please visit with me.
