Poultry Extension Program
The high priority Extension programs are focused on poultry waste problems, environmental concerns, state and federal regulations affecting poultry farms and nutrient management planning. Information is available related to commercial poultry farm operations, small backyard flocks, turkeys and waterfowl.
The 4-H poultry programs involve youth in embryology, egg and poultry judging, growing and managing a small flock of chickens and chicken barbecue programs. These 4-H poultry programs are available for Tennessee youth in each county.
