Graduate Assistantship Position, Equine Parasitology/Epidemiology,
Department of Animal and Food Sciences,
University of Kentucky
A Master's level graduate assistantship is available at the University of Kentucky Department of Animal and Food Sciences for a qualified applicant with an interest in parasites of horses. The research project will involve a combination of laboratory work, data management and analysis, and farm visits for sample and data collection. There will also be opportunities for the graduate student to gain teaching experience as a part of his/her training.
The successful applicant will possess some combination of: previous coursework in the biological and animal sciences, parasitology and/or statistics, knowledge of horses and their management, and experience handling horses.
This is a half-time position that includes a tuition scholarship and health benefits contingent upon maintenance of academic eligibility (3.0 GPA) and adequate progress toward degree requirements.
