Extension and Outreach
Established by the Smith-Lever Act of 1914, University of Tennessee Extension is the off-campus educational unit of the The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture. With an office in every county, Extension brings educational programs and research-based information to the citizens of Tennessee. Animal Science Extension is engaged in a broad range of educational programs in agriculture, community resource development, nutrition, health, and youth development.
