Master Beef Producer Program
The Master Beef Producer Program is an educational program designed to provide information to Tennessee cow-calf producers to help them be the very best in the country, improve their profitability and position the industry to be competitive with other states. The Master Beef Producer Program is led by a team of University of Tennessee Extension specialists and agents, with the support and involvement of representatives of state level agencies, businesses and organizations that have an interest in the state’s cattle industry. Master Beef Producer Program Scheduled for East Tennessee Counties
East Tennessee Beef cattle producers will have the opportunity to participate in a Master Beef Producer Program. This has been a popular program for Tennessee cow-calf producers with more than 10,000 people participating.
The program is sponsored by the University of Tennessee Extension. Classes will be held at the James E Ward Ag. Center beginning October 17th and ending November 25th. Meeting on Monday and Thursday nights, 6pm - 9pm. Cost is $160.00 (TDA scholarship $100.00 for those eligible) Contact Ruth Correll or (615) 444-9582.

Classes will be held at Brehm Animal Science Building on the Agricultural Campus at The Univeristy of Tennessee. Rooms 263 and 265.

Producers will received a cap, farm sign and farm manual covering topics including: Goal Setting, Genetics, Feeding, Forage, Carcass Merit, Reproduction, Management, Herd Health, Cattle Handling, Marketing, Food Safety and Biosecurity.
The cost of the program is $175.00. If you have a Premises ID and BQA number the cost is only $75.00. Refreshments will be available.
